Hello there, 

It’s me, Charlotte and here is a little about my journey.

My passion (or should I say obsession) with horses blossomed later in life, thanks to my niece Beatrix. She inspired me to take my first riding lesson, and I was instantly hooked. When my instructor suggested waiting for a few more lessons before investing in a helmet, I wouldn’t hear of it – I was all in from day one.

Like many riders, I left my heart with my first school horse. Maverick, the grumpiest Appaloosa gelding imaginable, taught me invaluable lessons in patience and courage. When life took me back to the Western Cape, I had no idea my heart horse was waiting for me there.

That’s where I met the incredible Perseus, a true gentleman and dream horse in every sense. Our journey began in 2020, and when I was fortunate enough to make this magnificent Friesian my own in 2024, he inspired me to take my yarn art in an exciting new direction.

Perseus is my muse for creating unique, high-quality equine apparel. A horse as beautiful and elegant as him deserves accessories that match his personality and presence. And so, Equicentric was born – a brand inspired by your equine partner, as unique as the bond you share.
